Cut downtime to the bare minimum with Big Mouth II air chucks from ATS Systems. The Big Mouth II system drastically reduces the time between workpieces, making chuck operation unbelievably easy.
Typically uses for a Pneumatic chuck are Pipe threading, large-diameter parts, utilizing the entire spindle bore diameter or in cases when a cylinder may not have a large enough thru-hole.

Air Chucks For Heavy Equipment
For tubular applications, we recommend our BT series of air chucks. Our BP series is made for general chucking needs as it’s capable of OD & ID chucking where the BT series is for OD clamping applications only.
All models of Big Mouth II Air Chucks are engineered for easy installation, and all of our models use our Easy Mount design. The chuck can be fully assembled on a workbench and bolted directly to an adapter plate. No worries about assembling on the lathe spindle.

Grip force is adjustable on all models, with maximum grip force of 13950 psi to 61600 psi, depending on the model. You can also select the size of chuck you need. The Big Mouth II Air Chuck can be ordered with sizes ranging from 8 inches to 40 inches, with through-holes up to 22.5 inches.
The non-return valve is maintenance free, and all dynamic surfaces feature our quad-ring seals. The Big Mouth II series of air chucks can also be pressure-tested across the entire chuck, including all valves to ensure safe operation.
Full custom packages and installation by ATS Systems is available, and we also offer a two-year warranty on your Big Mouth II Air Chucks. You can also get lifetime service from ATS Service technicians on your air chuck.
